The Kentucky Basketball Pro Day will look significantly different in the era of COVID-19.
The Pro Day takes place this evening, and will be televised on the SEC Network. However, due to COVID-19 protocols, no NBA scouts will be attending in-person.
Instead, “30 NBA teams will be provided an exclusive feed of the combine-like practice conducted by Kentucky coaches and staff. Coaches and staff will direct players through various agility and shooting drills in addition to 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 scrimmaging,” according to a release from UK Athletics.
This Pro Day will also be different as the event is taking place in Memorial Coliseum with no fans in attendance. Typically this has taken place in Rupp Arena for the most part, but Pro Day and Big Blue Madness will be taking place in Memorial this year.
The SEC Network will host a 90-minute broadcast of the event, with Tom Hart and Jimmy Dykes on the call.
This will be the first glimpse of many players on the team with Big Blue Madness still a week away. With so many new faces, it will be a time for many fans to familiarize themselves with the newest Wildcats.
