By now, you probably know all about the The Athletic article containing some sharp criticism of several Wildcats by anonymous coaches.
It was meant to critique the players who have entered the 2020 NBA Draft, including Tyrese Maxey, Nick Richards, Ashton Hagans, Immanuel Quickley and EJ Montgomery.
While it’s one thing for NBA scouts to be harsh on prospects, this article featured college coaches taking unnecessary shots at said Kentucky players.
As you can imagine, that drew the ire of many in the college basketball world, including ESPN hoops commentators Dick Vitale and Seth Greenberg.
But the best response came from UK walk-on Riley Welch, who thinks his teammates will do just fine in the NBA.
