Reid Travis is taking his talents to the Land of the Rising Sun.
Sportando reports the former Kentucky Wildcat has signed with the Shimane Susanoo Magic in Japan’s B.League. No, there’s not an A-League. The B.League is the top-tier pro basketball played in Japan.
In Travis’ first pro season he played in Germany’s Bundesliga, averaging 10 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He played at his best when Medi Bayreuth needed him at his best in the FIBA Euro Cup, scoring 14 points and grabbing 5.9 rebounds a game over 14 games.
The McDonald’s All-American began his collegiate basketball career at Stanford. A grad transfer for Kentucky in the 2018-19 season, he was an overtime period away from advancing to the Final Four in his hometown of Minneapolis.
