Based upon when he decided to leave UK I assumed he would more than likely go this route. Some team will more than likely pick him in the second round and send him to their G-League affiliate.
It's a pretty nice option for Whitney in my opinion.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

If Whitney goes, me and Norm should be a lock in the 1st round.
Of course that’s assuming Norm gets back in playing condition. After my knee replacement a year ago, I leap tall buildings so I should be ok. [ 01-31-2020, 09:22 PM: Message edited by: handycat ]

He's gonna have to increase his basketball capability tremendously. I'm not sure he knows what that word means.

Cal's system pretty much weeds out those who have NBA skill from those who don't have NBA skill. Correct me if I''m wrong, but I don't think any player who ever left UK under Cal has played an NBA minute. I see Whitney following this same path.

PC... they didn't play a lot but Kyle Wiltjer and Marcus Lee both played in the nba for a while. Also Charles Matthews looked great for Michigan (Led Michigan to the National Title Game) but tore his ACL in a predraft workout with the Celtics. Not many play in the nba after transferring from uk but there are a few.

Just my opinion, but I never understood what Montgomery or Sestina were doing to get more minutes than Whitney. It’s not like either of those guys have done anything positive on a consistent basis.
Montgomery is a complete mystery to me for 1.5 seasons and I’m not sure Sestina could stay in front of me with a torn Achilles and torn quadricep tendon on my left leg the last two years. Not only can he not stay in front of his man, but he also has no clue how to be a help defender and he is an awful rebounder for his size. He is definitely a grad transfer flop like Julius Mays was for Cal. [ 02-04-2020, 12:19 PM: Message edited by: Trey Ball ]
