Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei point guard Devin Askew, Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon shooting guard BJ Boston and Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy shooting guard Terrence Clarke are among 25 players still up for national high school player of the year.
Ron Mercer (1995) is the only former Wildcat to have won the award.
The list for the Naismith Trophy will be narrowed to 10 semifinalists on Feb. 6 and five finalists on Feb. 20 with the Naismith Boys High School Player of the Year being announced on Mar. 10.
