Kentucky men’s basketball head coach John Calipari doesn’t often admit he’s made a mistake, but that’s what the national title-winning coach did on Saturday.
Coach Cal and the Wildcats’ program held their first-ever father/daughter basketball camp this month.
Calipari admits that this is something he should’ve started five years ago.
“I’m not wrong very often, but I did make a mistake,” he announced on Twitter on Saturday night.
“We could’ve done a Father/Daughter Camp 5 yrs ago when fathers were begging to do it. Wow, you talk about having fun! So great to see fathers and daughters spending time together. My guess is next year we’ll have two of these.”
