I’m amazed that there are 4 schools ahead of us in the 2019 recruiting rankings. Wow! We always talk about us not being number #1 and now we continue to slip more in recruiting rankings and lose more players to the NBA. Kind of a double whammy.

The last I seen we were #2.

ESPN and Rivals has us at 6 & 5. No. 2 player Cole Anthony just signed with UNC.

Why does K get a pass but we criticize Cal so much? I love our Coach and believe he is doing just fine!

My question is where has getting the #1 recruiting class got those schools ???
From what I see dook and Uk are the only schools that have got the #1 recruiting class and won the Championship with that recruiting class (dook #1 class in 14 and won the championship in 15, Uk #1 class in 11 and won the championship in 12) while schools like UNC, Virginia, Louisville, Villanova and UConn (Villanova and UConn each won it twice) while not never having the #1 recruiting class !!!
The best way seems it seems to me is to recruit players that stay more than one year and have teams that have a strong upper class presence with good to great players mixed in !!!
I will go as far to say dook definitely had the #1 class last year and look where it got them. I also see that so far they have the #1 class this year but I bet they don't win it all in 2020.
I like most fans would rather win the whole enchilada than have the #1 recruiting class without the championship !!!
I know UNC has won 2 championships in the past 11 years and were also in the Finals one other time without having the #1 recruiting class (and neither UConn or Villanova had anywhere near the #1 class either and they both have won 2) !!!
