Box Score

We need Kelden Johnson to get his game back to win this tournament. He has gone down hill the latter part of the season and his skills are desperately needed. He was pretty much a no show tonight.

Johnson didn't do himself any favors in the draft tonight. He has had some bad games where his shot didn't fall. Hagans game was not very good either. Outside of those two most everyone did something to help.

I decided to grade these guys tonight on how many dunb, stupid, mental errors, etc. they had. Here are the results.

Herro 5 (most of them came at the end)
Johnson 4
Hagans 3
Washington 3
Richards 2
Quickley 2
Montgomery 1
Travis 0
Baker 0

Johnson struggled on the offensive end, but other than giving up a three to Petty in the corner he absolutely locked his guy down on defense.

I'm not sure he gave up another bucket to the guy he was guarding all night long other than the Petty three.

I'm sure the scouts noticed that as well.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I agree, Trey. Johnson was on his man like glue. Great defensive effort by all our cats.

BTW, did you notice that Baker and Quickly were perfect from the field? THAT is the kind of offensive punch we need from our bench! Nick gave good minutes, as did EJ. I gotta say that this team is responding to Cal's program at just the right time... offense is good, defense is jelling, and the players have found their roles.
