The senior forward was being held out of practice while waiting to be admitted into UK’s graduate school program before he could be involved with any skill instruction. He has still been able to do other team-related activities, but he was unable practice until admitted into the graduate program.
As of Tuesday, Travis is now working with his new teammates at the Joe Craft Center:
Travis joined UK in late June after scoring 19.5 points and bringing in 8.7 rebounds per game last year with the Stanford Cardinal. He elected to go the grad transfer route and ultimately picked Kentucky over the Villanova Wildcats.
This is great news, as Travis now can build chemistry with his new teammates before the Bahamas trip begins next month.
The Wildcats are still without sophomore forward PJ Washington while he recovers from a torn tendon in his finger. Walk-on forward Zan Payne is also recovering from a knee injury suffered in his senior season at Lexington Catholic.
