I've been sitting here thinking, WHO'S THE LEADER OF THIS TEAM? Anybody got any ideas? He doesn't have to be a starter but he does have to lead. I don't think I have the answer to this one.

Absolutely no one at this point in the season. It appears as though no one is wanting to take on that role.

In his news conference a week ago, Cal said PJ Washington had emerged as the vocal leader of the team. But after the USC loss, he said that PJ had stepped back from that role, and that there was nobody who was the obvious leader.
This is probably symptomatic of the kind of 'high character' and 'coachable' kids Cal recruits, but one of them MUST start screaming at player when they clearly mess up, directing players on the floor when they are out of position, talking on defense, etc. Cal mentioned yesterday on his pre-Florida newsie that he hoped Vanerbilt might be leader, but there wasn't one now.

Generally you want your Point guard to take on the role of floor leader!

Production off the bench is critical!

MH, that is so true our bench has to be at their best if we expect to win. We have 5 players averaging double digit points. Richards ave. is 7.1, Gabriel is 6.3 and Vanderbilt is next at 6 points a game.
