The box score doesn't have a line for Gilgeous-Alexander. Strange.
Overall, a good game except for poor Knox. Cal should have kept him on the bench just to preserve his ego. Diallo really played well and within the flow of the game. Washington was amazing.

He is at the very bottom of the UK stat part of the box score. He scored 15 pts. They do not have all of his name on their stat line. Our giving up 76 points to this team does not bode well for our defense. [ 12-09-2017, 03:12 PM: Message edited by: SCWC ]

Yes, now that I refreshed the page, I see it. But here is what I saw earlier:

No line for Shai.
But, I agree with you about our defense. EVERYBODY knows to shoot the three from the corner on us when we play that attrocious zone. Or, if they run out at you, just dribble on the baseline and either get an open jumper or a clean pass to the post.

Tip, I always post the box score from ESPN's site. I have been noticing lately that when I post it, everything will be there, then I can look at it a half hour later and some of it has changed, puzzling.

We shot 58% from the field and one of our better shooters, Knox went 1-9 and only 4 points in 31 minutes of play.

I missed the first half. Seemed like a good showing against inferior competition.
The Calipari factor is a huge consideration, if anyone thinks about betting on the Cats, especially against large point spreads. When the young prodigy gets in the game, there is generally a 10 point loss of the lead. Do they still win the game? Yes. But, it makes it very difficult for them to cover the spread against weaker teams.

Kentucky also plays WV in the middle of conference play, next month.
As boring as the games have been, against lesser competition, it was tailor made for such a young team.
The young guys may hit a wall in January, being freshmen. We shall see.
The good news for the fans, the games will be tougher and hotly contested.
Green may have to play with googles to protect his eye and let it heal up. meant goggles [ 12-10-2017, 10:40 AM: Message edited by: boomdaddy ]
