ESPN article
I watched the Florida/Gonzaga game, neither team played a bit of defense. I am still not that impressed with this Florida team but am highly impressed with Texas A&M.

Florida looked like the best team to me. Especially their point guard.

It's all a lot of talk. I ain't believing it until it happens. Thyey all want UK and Cal to fail at anything. I don't like the way we are playing but they haven't got it together yet. Give them some more games to get it together. Of course if their shooting is bad they could lose more games than I thought.

Florida does look good right now. No denying that. They have had the advantage of running under the early season media driven radar. UK never is afforded that advantage. Early season, UK never looks all that sharp unless we have some significant veteran players. This year, we don't. Right now, as someone said, we look like a high school all star team that has been assembled and practiced a few times together. But we'll get better. When we get to Florida, the difference in the teams might be negligible. But the SEC is much better this year and Florida is legitimately very good. It will not be a cakewalk through the SEC for anyone this year. That's what makes it interesting.

I watched the game between Bama and Gonzaga and was not overly impressed with either of them because they played little to no defense. They are a top ten team right now but that is merely because they have a veteran ball club. The Florida/Gonzaga game did not end until 2:10AM and I stayed up for it. There are a lot of good teams that are considerably better than we are right now, my hope is that Cal can get this team to playing as a unit and make them an NCAA tournament threat by March madness. He has his work cut out for him. I have seen all of the Florida games thus far, they are a good team but not one that will beat our Cats if Cal can make them into a formidable team.
This is their first road trip and they have done really well in the PK80 tournament but their home schedule was very week and New Hampshire had them on the ropes until some home cooking bailed them out late in the game. Florida have been ranked in the top ten every since the first poll came out, they were originally ranked 8th when we were ranked 5. Now they are ranked 7 and we are ranked 8.

Florida is a good basketball team but if we can beat them it will make it all the sweeter. This is where Cal can show his coaching ability. He has always had the most talent but this year would show he can win without the best talent. It will be interesting to see what happens.
