This has gotten to the point of playing to see how good everyone can look. A dunkfest is what it is. Trying to pick out good play was hard to do. Although I saw some good parts to guys like Gabriel, Jones, Knox, Diallo and Washington. Can't really say a lot about it since there was next to no defense. I can see why Cal is planning on concentrating on defense to start the season.

I quit watching when they started the dunk line. Will be interesting to see guard play, at the start of the season. They are very tall. I did see Sam Bowie interview where he thought A healthy Vanderbilt would put U.K. over the top. We shall see

it was a little bit of fun to watch, but you definitely can't tell anything much about the players. absolutely no defense to go against. It will be real interesting to see how this team comes together. Even though it is the #2 class, there is really only 1 one and done, according to most, right now. Looking forward to a fun season, and hopefully one that has us see this team really grow throughout, and then able to make a serious run in March. I hope Quade is a Ullis type player. That would be awesome.

I will say this - Cal does not stop trying to sell his program. Midnight Madness at Kentucky is nothing more than Cal trying to sell UK to recruits. And I get that.

But Madness ain't what it used to be, that's for sure. I don't even really care to watch anymore. There's more dancing and goofing off than there is sports.

I didn't even watch this year. I was in Arkansas trout fishing with a bunch of UK fans. We had cable (or satellite) TV in the cabin, and didn't even turn it on.

You are totally right Paulcat, I have quit watching it, little to no basketball players, a huge Cal pr production. Hopefully it will keep the recruits coming but it is not a good basketball junkie made for tv program.

I don't watch BBM for the scrimmage. I watch for the state of kentucky address by coach cal, the dancing by coach Mitchell, the players being announced men's and women's teams. It's a production and I enjoy it.
