A game inside the hallowed Rupp Arena has always been a desirable ticket. Kentucky basketball's home venue has ranked either first or second in national attendance since opening in 1976-77, claiming the top spot 18 of the last 21 years as of the 2015-16 season.
For the 2017-18 season, fans will have to dig just a bit deeper into their wallets to stake their claim to seats. UK announced Monday per-game ticket prices for all ticket locations will increase by $5. That includes student tickets, which will now cost $10 per game. According to UK, the bump is the first change to student ticket prices since the 1990s.
“We are excited for another memorable season with the Big Blue Nation in Rupp Arena and thank our fans for their incredible support,” Deputy Athletics Director DeWayne Peevy said in a press release. “Kentucky men’s basketball is one of the truly unique traditions in sports. While the demand for season tickets continues to outpace our inventory, we are committed to keeping prices in line with our peers in college basketball.”
