It didn’t take long for UK to emerge as the possible favorite for class of 2018 power forward Bol Bol.

Kentucky Coach John Calipari extended a scholarship offer to Bol — the son of former NBA player Manute Bol — on Monday night. On Tuesday morning, 247Sports recruiting analysts Andrew Slater and Jerry Meyer had already logged pro-UK predictions on Bol’s Crystal Ball page.

Slater and Meyer are the two top-ranked Crystal Ball prognosticators.

Bol — a 7-foot-1, 225-pound prospect playing for Mater Dei (Calif.) — is averaging 25.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocked shots per game on the Nike circuit so far this spring.

247Sports ranks him as the No. 5 overall prospect in the class of 2018. Kansas, UCLA, Arizona and Oregon are among the other schools that have extended scholarship offers.

Seven foot one inch power forward sounds awfully good to me. What I like is he has so much untapped potential. He is only going to get better and when he does he is going to be a very special player.

I believe he will be a lot better than his father was. He has a lot already that his father never had.

Would be exciting to have this young man on the team. He can shoot and already has good inside moves.

He will really be good when he matures..Even if he comes to UK, we won't see his best because of his youthfulness. However, I would love to have him for one year.

I would bet if Cal really wants Bol who is 17 will get him. It would be really great if he stayed for a couple of years.
