From KSR, good news: quote:
Sacha Killeya-Jones is one of the few returning players that actually saw minutes last season, so it was very comforting to read this report that he has no plans of transferring. Sources confirmed to the Courier-Journal’s Fletcher Page that Sacha’s not going anywhere, and is looking forward to competing for a starting spot. Last season, Sacha averaged 4.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in 17.8 minutes per game, which triggered some rumors that he may transfer somewhere else for more playing time, especially with a loaded front court coming in. In March, Sacha routinely told reporters that he wanted to “stick to the plan,” and Derek Willis told us last week that with some more time in the gym, Sacha’s potential is sky-high. “I think the kid with most potential on the team didn’t play hardly at all this year, Sacha,” Derek said. “Without a doubt. He has all the skill, all the potential’s there. You have to work with that stuff. He’s been in the gym, doing his thing but it’s hard for someone that young.” “He’s super athletic, he has a lot of bounce to him. His jump shot right inside the three-point line looks good. It’s all there, he just has to put it together for himself.” I’m glad he’s going to do it here. quote:

In January, I would have bet the farm that he wasn't going to stay. Seeing him on the bench, he looked like there were a thousand places he would rather have been. I thought that if I were to look up the word 'disgruntled' in the dictionary, his picture would be right there with the definition.

Good to hear and would bet he will have a great season benefiting from all the work he is putting into his game.

It's my belief that if he had been shown the floor throughout the season and had a chance to get better with actual game experience, we would've been a much better team than the one that lost to UNC. We just had no inside game against teams with good inside games. Bam alone was not the answer.

I felt like Norm, that he would be gone and was pleasantly suprised when I saw that he would be saying. He was the youngest player on the team this past season. I recall reading an article on KSR where Derek Willis said he was extremely talented and would be a great player for us, I hope Derek is right. I thought he played well in the earlier games he got in and was suprised that he did not get any playing time late in the season.
