Box Score
Thank goodness Bama did not make their free throws or we would have lost the game. 9 of 26 free throws. Again, the zebra's ruined another basketball game with their whistles. College basketball is being ruined by the way they are calling it anymore. [ 02-11-2017, 03:23 PM: Message edited by: SCWC ]

Never seen a team shoot 39 percent from the line. That's why we won. Rebounds were better, Bam played alot harder, got to play smarter. Still giving up easy points/layups. Gabriel is feast or famine, Fox had bad game and Monk couldn't guard a fence post. Win is a win especially on the road, Zone defense kills us and everyone knows it. Play zone and don't run with them and you got a chance. March is getting close, maybe they will turn on the jets idk, were not the only team with problems. Villanova looks to be the team to beat, looked good vs Xavier today, they would dismantle the Cats right now. We'll see what changes in the next few weeks. Florida is best team in the SEC, looking forward to getting them in Rupp. At GA and SC still looom on the horizon, they'll dump it inside till we can stop it. Should be interesting...

I am sure some teams have shot lower but I can't remember seeing a Div 1 team shoot any lower than what Bama did this afternoon. Making only 9-26 (34%) is scary bad.

Thank goodness our free throw defense was excellent! We would have been in real trouble with out it.

SEC officials are embarrassing. They are so inconsistent it makes it hard on the players.

SEC officiating is a joke. I wonder if this has something to do with the SEC not being a very good conference.
Granted it was four overtimes, but in the USC/Alabama game last week:
* 62 fouls were called * 83 free throws were shot * 6 players fouled out * 3 of the players who fouled out played 22, 24 and 26 minutes * Sindarius Thornwell shot 33 free throws
So it's not just our Wildcats experiencing these types of games.

The officiating has been poor I agree, lots of silly ticky tac fouls that don't need to be called. Ruining the flow of the game which I think hurts us more than anyone

I'm sure the SEC officials will go over the tape of the game. I just hope they realize that something has to be done concerning the officiating and they "do" something about it.

Monk actually got a rebound and I was there to see it. It was funny because he got fouled on the play, and then my son was the one that hit me and was saying "He got a rebound, Monk got a rebound!" I still think there is no way he shouldn't get 3-4 rebounds every game. Hope tonight is a good game for the Cats.
