Vanderbilt ranks No. 191 nationally averaging 73.4 points per game. They allow 68.7 points per game. Vanderbilt shoots just .432 from the field on the season and their opponents are .425 from the floor. The Commodores do shoot the three-ball well (.403), as is customary for them, but their opponents are also proficient from long range (.365). Vanderbilt is averaging 10.2 made three-pointers per game. They are averaging 13 made three-pointers per SEC game through three contests. The Commodores are also strong from the free throw line (.774).
The Commodores do not force many turnovers on average (11.6), nor are they a strong shot blocking squad (3.9 per game).
Notably, Vanderbilt has outscored its opponents by an average of nearly five points in the first half of games this season, but opponents are outscoring Vanderbilt by a basket, also on average, in the second half.

I have always hated the games at Vanderbilt. That just seems to be a tough place to win. I hate the benches being at the ends of the court.
But I will never forget this play: Naz r at the buzzer!

Kevin Stallings communicated to his players with a loud whistle from the other end. Coach Cal has a bull horn voice that can be heard all over the arena. It will be interesting to see how the new coach Bryce Drew handles this odd court configuration.
