The Kentucky-Louisville series has seen its share of great performances from great players, but the series is also notable for the unlikely heroes it has produced on the Wildcats' side.

2014-Dakari Johnson was an NBA draft pick, so even the "X-Factors" in the John Calipari era have been talented kids.

But it's important to remember that in the 2013-14 season Johnson wasn't exactly a leading scoring option. He did have some great moments, however, notably against Louisville in the Sweet Sixteen as part of the Cats' surprising march to the national championship game.

Johnson's 15 points (7-10 FG) and six rebounds also game with some tough, physical defense when he was on the other end of the court, as Kentucky knocked Louisville out of the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three years, this time 74-69

Darius Miller proved that to be true against Louisville in the Final Four, when he was the Cats' second-leading scorer (13 points, 4-7 FG), also coming up big at the free throw line (4-4).

That grind-it-out, ugly 69-61 win required Miller's contributions because Davis was the only other Kentucky player scoring in double digits.

Miller's performance was all the more impressive because it was all about redemption. He had eight turnovers in a sloppy win over Louisville earlier in the season

2010: Harrellson seizes the moment

It wouldn't necessarily be right to say that Josh Harrellson peaked against Louisville in 2010, because Kentucky's big man was also an integral part of a four-seed's run through an incredibly difficult bracket, culminating in a Final Four that ended a long drought since the program's last national semifinal appearance.

But we can say that game was Harrellson's brightest moment as a Wildcat. His 24 points came on a remarkable 10-12 from the floor, and his 14 rebounds were not only crucial, but contributed to more points with six of them coming off the offensive glass. He even had a 2-1 assist to turnover ratio and drilled a three-point basket.
