From KSR:

De’Aaron Fox gained 10-12 pounds over the summer. He also named Wenyen Gabriel, Isaiah Briscoe, Mychal Mulder, Derek Willis and Dominique Hawkins as players who have made early strides. “All of them have gotten better.”

“The guy who has really improved, that I’m like ‘WOAH,’ is Isaac.” Cal noted Humphries was so young last season he wasn’t eligible for the NBA draft, and he had never been coached at a high level. “Now he comes back and he knows what to expect and how to work and he’s not running from it. And all of the sudden, you’re seeing a seven-footer who will bang with you and understands angles better and gets his body on you.”… “He’s not even the same guy.”

Bam Adebayo will be more like Anthony Davis and Karl-Anthony Towns. By that he means Bam will be a little more of a late bloomer like those two, but when he blooms, like those two did, “You’re going to say, ‘Oh, my goodness.’” He predicts Bam will be a beast after Christmas.

“If you listen to every barking dog, you ain’t getting home.” Cal’s final comment on all of the chatter and public outcry surrounding Pitino and the ’96 team ceremony. He isn’t paying attention to anything said on the radio, online or in newspapers. He did, however, hint that he was the one who purchased the new rings given to the ’96 team three years ago.

This team has the making of a very special team that could go a long ways in the NCAA tournament. It sounds like Cal is excited already.
