Someone explain to me how Jamal Murray drops out of the Wooden Award race? He was in it last month and the only thing he has done since that time is this:
21.1 PPG (Higher than his season avg of 17.5 as of last Wooden Award Watch) 5.3 RBG (Higher than his season avg of 4.4 as of last Wooden Award Watch) 3PT % of 41.7% (Higher than his avg of 38.2% as of last Wooden Award Watch)
And his defense has been improving to top it off. If anything he should have been moving up the Wooden Watch list not drop off of it. Obviously they want Hield to end up with it (and he probably is deserving, although I think if they look at it objectively Tyler Ulis should be right there with him) so just give it to him an be done with it.
I'm done with my rant.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

It comes down to politics.
We are in a year of really, really bad politics, even in sports awards.

Unbelievable that he would be dropping out now after all he has been doing lately. Right now he is close to being one of the top three or four game changers in the NCAA today. I agree with Tip, it has to be politics. I would have thought his stock would be rising if anything.

You've got to eliminate the toughest competitors before it gets too late to eliminate them. If they had waited for another 2-3 weeks and Murray had his numbers still that high and UK was on a winning streak to win out the season it would have been hard to justify eliminating him. You said it............politics. You might as well hand the trophy to Hield right now because the voting has already been done. What do they do when OK don't make the final 16? Great point, Trey. Murray is just as important to UK as Hield is to OU.
