Our good buddy Bobby Flynn, one of the most beloved people in Lexington, is facing tough times right now after suffering a fall from his attic over the weekend. According to his son, former Cincinnati Red Doug Flynn, Bobby has broken ribs, a broken clavicle, internal bleeding, stitches in his hand and multiple lacerations. He is currently in the UK Hospital.
Many of you may know Bobby from one of his many jobs around town. He’s long been a fixture at UK sporting events, Keeneland, and Lexington Legends games, among other places. Some of you may even know him as a former state Senator, or way back in the day as the first white player on the Lexington Hustlers, a black semi-pro baseball team in the 1940s.
John and Ellen Calipari paid Bobby a visit earlier today and he was all smiles, despite his current situation:

I think Cal is one of the best at setting
examples for everyone to love their fellow man.
Great thing to teach young kids and us adults.

From the young to the old, Cal gives his time to all of them.
The most valuable commodity that any one of us has is our time. No matter how much money some of us have, many have more money than I will ever see, they still don't have any more minutes in the day than I do.
