Word is he is on campus now.
La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere 4-star center and Australian 7-footer Isaac Humphries is currently on Kentucky's campus for a visit, CatsPause.com has learned and according to Gary Parrish of CBSSports.com, is expected to reclassify and enroll at UK.
Humphries (7-0, 245) is currently ranked No. 52 overall and the No. 4 center in the 2016 class according to the industry-average 247Sports Composite.
He first burst onto the national recruiting scene last summer as part of the Australian silver medal squad at the U17 World Championships in Dubai, where he averaged 18.9 points, 11.6 rebounds and 3.3 blocks in helping the Australians to the gold medal game.
Humphries holds early offers from Arizona, Illinois and Kansas among others and has been drawing interest from the likes of UK, Duke and Florida.
Kentucky coach John Calipari scouted Humphries in Indiana this past January.
The Wildcats have quickly become the leader on Humphries' 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Did he reclassify to play this year? Is he projected to play more than one year at the college level? Is he really a white kid? We could be entering uncharted waters here!

He is technically a 2016 recruit but could possibly re-class to the 2015 class and join a program.

He definitely will take up a lot of room in the paint.

Getting Humphries fills the roster with what you need. I know he's not going to platoon but you can see two teams on this roster.
Labissiere, Poythress, Murray, Matthews, Ulis
Humphries, Lee, Willis, Mulder, Briscoe
plus Hawkins

He is already working out with the team and will add depth to this years team.
Humphries is not a typical John Calipari big man. He’s not a freak athlete like a Willie Cauley-Stein or a Nerlens Noel. He doesn’t have the same skill level as a Karl-Anthony Towns or an Anthony Davis. (Who does?) He’s not a world class shot-blocker or a guy that is going to command double-teams on the low block.
What he is, however, is another big body, which is something that Kentucky does lack this season. Prior to this signing, the Wildcats did not have a true backup center for Labissiere. Marcus Lee is better suited to play as a four-man, an energy guy that is asked to rebound, block shots and catch lobs at the rim. Alex Poythress is an undersized four that is coming off of a torn ACL. Derek Willis has had some promising moments in his two seasons as a reserve, but he’s still one of these guys that’s closer to a three than he is a five.
