They are two fine young men and hope all goes well for them in the future.
As Aaron and Andrew Harrison make the jump from college to the NBA, they are making sure that they thank the people who helped them get to where they are today.
That's why the brothers bought their mom a new BMW.
Many athletes' first purchase after getting drafted and signing a contract is a car or house for their parents. The Harrison twins didn't want to wait that long to show their mom how much they appreciate everything she has done for them.
Whether it was a Mother's Day present or just a random act of kindness, it was a very cool gesture. Their next gifts can be personalized jerseys of whichever teams pick them in June's draft. That should put an even bigger smile on their mother's face.

Somebody must be pretty confident that they will be drafted!

I would definitely have waited until after I actually signed a contract and received my first pay check.

Oh, I'm sure they will play professionally somewhere. It may be in Indonesia, but somewhere.

When your as talented as they are you know they will be playing for some awfully good money somewhere in the near future. In the mean time I'm sure old dad made it happen.

Unless they bought me a car, I don't care, not really newsworthy.

I never read the article...any of them. I know this is a forum, that is why I posted my opinion about the article here. It just amazes me how many times I saw that yesterday and they type of comments made about it on different social media outlets. Guess I saw it one too many times, didn't mean that it shouldn't be on tcd...just that the fact that he bought a car for his mom hit the headlines like it did.

Agreed. They do tend to wear any subject out. My mother used to say, "I'll wear this switch out on you and then jab you with the stubby end of it." She never did, but it got my attention!
