This latest article says everything but the deal is announced. The person who leaked it evidently knows it is a done deal.

I fear Florida basketball will once again take the back seat to their football team which will not be good for the conference. Donovan did a great job for Florida for a lot of years and is the senior SEC coach. I never thought he would leave Florida for any pro team other than Miami or Orlando. I wonder how his leaving will affect his new hire Grant.

agreed, as much as I hated losing to them sometimes he was great for the conference. A huge step backward for the SEC. I hope a big name goes to Florida and continues on.

They could do a lot worse than Grant or even Pelphrey who are current assistant coachs. Richard Pitino who was a assistant a few years back also is a outside possibility. It will be interesting that's for sure.

If UF makes Grant or Pelphry their HC, they should fire the AD and start over.
By the way, the rumor is that Billy D was tired of losing recruiting battles to Calipari. That was one of the main reasons he left for the pros.

Thought Donovan was great for SEC basketball. A big loss for the conference. Hope UF gets a fairly big name but have my doubts.

If all the talking heads are correct it will be Miller from Dayton. He is one of the best up and comers who would probably take the job.
