I feel embarrass of him being an ex-Kentucky player...

He certainly hasn't exceeded his (or his father's) expectations. That boy had a world of potential, yet he just seems to throw more of it away time after time.

He could turn it around. Probably won't. He got bad advice and didn't listen to the ones who had his best interest at heart.
Big men don't grow on trees. He could get a new agent, get in shape, and try out for another NBA team.
There have always been stories that some of the best athletes have been high school drop outs who never get noticed and end up squandering what could have been a chance at grabbing that brass ring.
At least he got a three year minimum contract for being a first round draft pick.
Best of luck to him.

Hopefully he has saved some of his money. I looked up some of his signing bonuses and they were not that bad. If he put a lot of it away and invested it he could line very nicely the rest of his life. Probably isn't the case and hope I am wrong.

Imagine if he had played under Cal alongside Noel, Davis, or even Big Willie. He may just have listened to the advice of his coach and realized he wasn't ready for the next step. Unfortunate that he picked the path he did, I wish more youngsters would learn from examples such as this.
