According to the Bleacher Report, Indiana University might be a little short on their basketball roster this season. Last night sophomore forward Devin Davis was injured in an early morning car accident. How he was injured just makes the story crazy.

Preliminary information says the accident occurred on Indiana University’s campus and involved two basketball players, Davis and Emmit Holt.

Davis was injured after Holt stuck him with a vehicle just moments after Davis got out of the car. Davis is listed as in serious condition at IU Health Bloomington. Holt was cited for illegal consumption and operating a vehicle with a BAC above 0.02, with a BAC of 0.025. In Indiana, the BAC limit is .08, but if you are under aged (Like Holt) the limit is only .02 percent.

You might remember earlier in the year junior forward Hanner Mosquera-Perea was arrested on DWI charges. Not to mention the underage consumption charges against junior guard Yogi Ferrell and sophomore guard Stanford Robinson. The Bleacher Report did state that Crean has been with Davis and his family throughout the night.

While the extent of his injuries have not been disclosed, Crean texted ESPN.com to tell them Davis had a “Big 48 hours coming”, which show the injuries are probably very severe.

Crean decided to call off today’s open practice and scrimmage.

Thoughts from BBN go out to Devin Davis as he recovers and hopefully he will be able to make it back on the court soon. There are some things you wouldn’t even wish on your worst enemy.

I guess there's a reason why IU has been ranked in the top 10 in the nation for party schools for the last several years now!

That is sad, I pray for the kid that got hurt.
Looks like the university needs to take control
and stop some of this craziness.

I would be very suprised if Crean is able to keep his job after this incident. Just too many weird things going on around IU basketball, add that to the poor on court performances of his teams and it should make for an easy decision for IU officials to send Crean packing.

I don't know how many of our fans follow sports on Bleacher report but I am a huge fan of their site and they really give good, up to the minute coverage on all sporting events.

I posted to a Bozich tweet earlier that I felt Crean was on the hot seat this year. I heard they are projected 9th in the Big(who knows how to count to)10?

His recruiting hasn't been that good and he isn't even getting the better players in his own state.

Crean did get James Blackmon Jr. to stay at home. He didn't want to have to share the ball by coming to UK!

Wonder if Blackmon will transfer, should Crean get fired. The young man has talent.

I would bet Blackman would stay as he is a Hoosier by birth.
