Question 1- Since Cal's tweak came out and had to do with assists can you name the only 2 Kentucky point guards in the 20th century that had a season with better than a assist to t/o ratio of 2 to 1?

Question 2- Who has been Cal's top 2 point guards with the best assist to t/o ratios?

Question 3- Who has been Cal's point guards with the worst assist t/o ratio's?

Question 2: I would answer Teague and probably Harrow since he never tried a "penetrating pass" at UK. He just always passed it around the perimeter. Drove me crazy.

Question 3: Brandon Knight and Andrew Harrison. I would say because neither were protoypical point guards.

Don't know on Question 1.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Trey, good job on both 2 and 3 but if you think about it question 1 really isn't that hard.

For question 1, I'll say Epps and Turner.

Epps was a great answer and would have been right but he played in the 94-97 seasons.

Wayne Turner was a good one too but played in the 96-99 seasons and never had a season where he had a t/o ratio of 2-1.

cmd,

Based on your answer to PC I assume you really ment to say the 21st Century and not the 20th Century because Epps played in the 20th century. That is why I was shocked only two PG's would have qualified because I was sure guys like Epps/Macy/Harden/Davender would have made that list, but thought maybe not and I would have no idea on PG's who played prior to 1978 (first UK team that I can vividly remember)

So lets go season by season:

2014 - Harrison - No
2013 - Harrow - No
2012 - Teague - No
2011 - Knight - No
2010 - Wall - No
2009 - Porter - No
2008 - Bradley - No
2007 - Bradley - No
2006 - Rondo - Yes and Sparks? Hmm
2005 - Rondo
2004 - Hawkins
2003 - Hawkins
2002 - Hawkins
2001 - Smith?
2000 - Smith?

Ok. So based on that I think the second guy is between Sparks and Saul Smith. I will go with Saul Smith since he would be a "surprise" answer.

Ok. I cheated and looked at the stats, and I was surprised. Trey, the one other than Rondo played for Coach Cal.

Then I guess I would have to say Teague, but I didn't think he was above 2:1.

Paul, the one I know that did it isn't one that played for Cal but did play for Tubby, his son.

Trey, Teague had a 1.75-1 assist to t/o ratio. Your Sparks comment is right but he played the shooting guard and have always thought that was by far the most fun guard combo to watch as because they both were from Kentucky and they really cared for each other. I don't know this as a fact but would bet they were the only Kentucky back court where both players had better than a 2-1 assist t/o ratio.

I assumed Mays would be lumped in as a point guard. Mays had 95 assists to only 38 turnovers.

JMO, but I would view Mays as a shooting guard. I think Harrow and Polson mostly played the PG position during his year. Still I would have never guessed him. Now if the question was which player led UK in pump fakes? I would have answered Mays right away. [Big Grin]

If Mays had played on this years team he would have led the team in free throw shooting by a wide margin but also 3 point shooting percentage. I doubt few people realize that Mays not only made more 3's that Wiltjer his percentage was higher too.
