Saw this comment posted in the updated thread on WCS's injury...
"Considering Young’s slip at the end of the SEC Tournament Championship Game and WCS injury, I’m not a fan of the new Kobe shoe."
Considering Kobe himself has sat out most of the last 2 season with injuries, I'm surprised GM hasn't recalled those shoes......
At a minimum...... Cal should ban them! [ 03-29-2014, 10:32 PM: Message edited by: FlaCatz ]

Here is a article on the Kentucky basketball shoes. If you remember Young slipped when he was wearing the same shoes in the last possession of the Florida game when we had a chance to win.
Several Kentucky players expanded the definition of Go Big Blue in this NCAA Tournament by wearing shoes that appeared to be green.
"It's a type of blue," Willie Cauley-Stein said. After grasping to describe the exact shade of blue on the shoes, he said, "It's kind of seaweed."
Cauley-Stein acknowledged "some lime" in the coloring and "highlights" in yellow.
Of course, the Cats remain true blue. The color had nothing to do with why some UK players, including James Young and Cauley-Stein, wear the shoes.
"Super comfortable," Cauley-Stein said of Nike's Kobe 9 model.

To me that color looks more closely to UNC blue that UK blue. If they souldn't get them in UK blue I wouldn't allow them.

They almost look like Teal to me. Should be Royal Blue, same color as uniforms.
