After winning the National Championships in 1978, 1996 and 1998. I cried tears of joy and was overcome with extreme realms of pleasure that my Wildcats...KENTUCKY, had IN FACT, W O N it all, and were the CHAMPIONS!. But this year was very different...As soon as the game ended and we were once again proclaimed CHAMPIONS of college basketball, I was of course, euphoric, in a happy shock of sorts, relieved that we had won the title, afterall we had the BEST team and the best players. It was Cal's FIRST championship, hopefully the first of many AT Kentucky. But it did not HIT me until the celebration in Rupp Arena on tuesday of what we had accomplished, watching the live tv as the BIG BLUE BUS was shutteling towards Rupp Arena from the airport, both sides of the roads lined with thousands of cheering fans hoping to get a glimpse of the Champions, then finally inside, introduced and Cal giving his glorious oratory's as only he can, it was time to unfurl the BIG BLUE BANNER, #8!, Finally, those old emotions from 78', 96' and 98' all came crashing back to me in one gigantic emotional realization that ONCE AGAIN, WE ARE THE C H A M P I O N S ! And don't it FEEL GOOD!
