There is no doubt in my mind that we have the top coach in all of college basketball running our UK program currently. Seeing him take these high profile freshmen and sell them on playing together as a team is a difficult tast and one Coach Cal thrives on. I would not trade him for anyone in the college game currently. It has been quite a few years since I have enjoyed a team as much as I do this one, they truly are special and all of them seem to enjoy playing defense almost as much as they do offense.

In these last three years I've seen how good a coach Cal is, and I'm talking about on the court, not off of it. Cal wins ball games. Period. He's done it everywhere he's been. With that said, he may also be one of those people who just has bad luck. His run-ins with the NCAA could've/would've happened to any coach who ended up with Camby and Rose. He may be so unlucky as to never win an NCAA championship, but I don't know that I've ever seen a coach win like he does, especially with freshman. I truly hope that one day he gets that title so he can finally get the respect he deserves.
