DeMarcus Cousins – 10.2 rebounds per game (19th nationally)
1.8 blocks per game (t-79th nationally)
RPI
UK moved up a spot to number five in the RPI according to RealTimeRPI.com. The ‘Cats are where they need to in the RPI to be well positioned for a run at a one seed. 11 of Kentucky’s 24 wins have come against RPI top 100 teams, and with UK’s final six opponents all residing in the top 100, UK has a chance to boltster that resume further.
Ken Pomeroy
UK took a bit of a fall in Ken Pomeroy’s rankings this week, going from sixth last week to tenth now.
Facing off against two teams that slowed it down and packed it in, the ‘Cats dropped from 13th to 18th in offensive efficiency. On defense, UK took another step forward, moving from 21st to 19th in offensive efficiency.
UK has been much better all season in offensive efficiency than defensive, so it is good to see UK pick it up defensively.
