KY didn't play terrible, but we didn't play good either! We'll get a bye week next weekend to heal up and prep for a possible victory over Vanderbilt!

Defense is respectable, but our offense is inept. Please give Beau a chance to play. No way he can be any worse than Wilson and Gatewood.

The Good:
(1) When we got fired up, our run game looked like the past two years, with great surge from the o-line and extra yards from sheer effort from the RBs. If we can sustain that, we are hard to beat. Alas, however, we did not sustain it.
(2) Rodriguez is our go-to running back. He was awesome today.
(3) Our defense bent, but didn't break (other than the embarrassing breakdowns in the red zone for easy TDs).
(4) Our punter remains our MVP for the year.
The bad:
(1) Gatewood is too green to be facing a team like Georgia. Slow to start the plays, not very mobile, and his throws are not on the money. Our receivers have to reach up, down, or sideways to have any hope of catching the ball.
(2) Too many sacks allowed. Georgia has speed on the edges, but we should be better at protecting our QB than that.
(3) Our tackling was woeful. Too many attempts at arm-tackles that missed and gave them extra yards.
(4) Our offensive consistency is just terrible. I thought we would have a much, much better offense this year, but it sure hasn't happened.
I hope this bye week gives us some time to heal up, rest up, and get better at the fundamentals.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Yeah, we need something funny about now. It was a very short game today. The clock seemed to be running very fast and I didn't even get 6 hours work today. Started cold but ended very nice. Our Offensive line just didn't seem to be able to hold the line for protection and didn't open up very many holes for the runners. It's not just the runners fault. I thought Beau should have gotten the last 5 minutes since we had no hope of scoring 2 TDs Here comes that 3-7 season, or maybe a 4-6 if we're lucky.

Here's on of the things we have to remember about Gatewoods performance yesterday. 1) it was the first start of his very young career. 2) Georgia is ranked #1 in our conference in defense. Even when the offensive line was holding up the rushers, the DB's had our recievers covered so well that he had no where to place the ball! 3) It's been a forgone conclusion that our receiving corps isn't one of our biggest strengths so far on our team.
One thing about it, after watching Georgia play Bama last week, I was pleasantly surprised, with the exception of their first drive of the game, and their first drive of the second half, our defense held GA in check!

Especially when Vegas had us as a 17-18 point under dog to begin with. The only other game we play the rest of the year that will probably be that high is the Bama game. Florida will be close but I don't think it'll be quite that high!
