I’m disappointed in Wilson. I was expecting more. However you’re right, receivers play a huge part in a quarterback’s success.
m h, that absolutely was a touchdown and I think it made a big difference in the game, more so than the final score would indicate.

You can't make 3 huge mistakes to a quality opponent and expect to win!
We played a solid game today. We actually out statted Auburn.
We marched right down the field in the first series and took the lead!
We had an opportunity to lead at the half, yes we squelched it, but the opportunity was there! ( HE SCORED )
Fumble ball while moving 3rd down and 5 and give them 25 yards to score, fake punt that turns into a 3 yard loss instead of a 5 yard gain!
Remember guys, it's been a few years since we opened the season against a top 10 rated team. We're usually getting a small Ohio school to open the season and shake the rust off.
Yes, Ali is our only really decent receiver, I didn't say he's great, just decent!

After allowing my emotions to settle down, I believe the terrible call on the TD (that wasn’t called a TD) made a huge difference in the outcome of this game. Having said that, we are in for a rough year after watching MSU and Ole Miss play today. Running game and short passes won’t beat Leach or Kiffin coached teams. I sure hope the Cats make me eat my words. Go Big Blue!!!

Having a touchdown denied, which the one before the half definitely was, would be enough to take the steam out of just about anyone. It would take the wind out of my sales. I wouldn't be able to shake the "Why bust my butt" attitude.

Whether it was amazing adjustments by Auburn on both offense and defense, or the lingering psychological damage from the denied touchdown, the UK team in second half was not even remotely like the UK team in the first half.
We took the ball into Auburn territory on every drive in the first half. We ran up 120 yards rushing, clearly on the way to a 200 yard game. We completely dominated time of possession and number of plays. We converted 8 out of 10 third downs. Had we not been called for holding, and not been denied an obvious touchdown, we would have gone into the locker room up two touchdowns and left Auburn in a state of shock.
The second half we added a measly 20 years rushing, started out with 2 three-and-out possessions, and just looked lost out there.
In EITHER case, this bodes ill. We proved we can play better than one of the best teams in the SEC, at their place for the first half. The second half we looked like the UK of old. I put this on the coaches. If Auburn's coaches were able to make such effective adjustments, why couldn't our coaches counter? Or, if it was a case of losing our confidence, why didn't the coaches address that?
I always worried about Wilson's decision making abilities. Some like to call him "Touchdown Terry", but maybe "Turnover Terry" is the better term. Throwing that interception was simply a failure of the QB. Losing the ball while spinning on a run play was carelessness by the QB. Terry is an OK passer, and it is good to be able to rely on his running ability when needed. But a QB must first and foremost make solid decisions, and I am not sure ours is up to that standard.
