The Kentucky Wildcats are back in the friendly confines of Kroger Field this week as the Murray State Racers come to town.

Kentucky enters Saturday at 2-0 after an upset of the 25th-ranked Florida Gators in Gainesville last week.

Murray State enters the game at 0-2 after losing to 17th-ranked (FCS poll) Central Arkansas, 26-13.

Saturday will be just the second meeting between two team with the only other being a 37-6 win by Kentucky In Lexington in 2003, the first season of head coach Rich Brooks in Lexington.

Speaking of, Mark Stoops is looking to join Brooks and Bear Bryant as the only coaches in Kentucky history to lead the program to three-straight bowl games. With a win Saturday, Kentucky will be 3-0 and well on its way to accomplishing that.

This is one of the better KY teams that I have seen over the years.

While I will take ANY win in football, today was an easy win over a bad team. Kentucky's execution was not as sharp as last week against Florida. Part of that was due to the coaches running a lot of new faces into the game, and they did fairly well. Snell only had 15 touches, which was wise. But the o-line didn't do very well protecting the QB against a mediocre defense. That has to change.

Offensively, other that pass protection, we did as we were supposed to do -- run it down their throats. If it were not for the last MSU touchdown, we would have covered the ridiculous 43 point spread.

Next week will be a real test. And my daughter and I will be there to watch! I really hope we win... two wins against ranked SEC opponents and 4-0 overall would be a really sweet place to be.
