I am going out on a limb and predicting that Cal signs Cliff Omoruyi in early 2020. You heard it here first. The other guy, Brown doesn't look to go UK's way and I think Cliff will want to play with an all star cast like UK has got coming in. Hope that completes the 2020 roster.

Omoruyi

Four-star center Cliff Omoruyi trimmed his list from 13 schools to eight possibilities Tuesday.

Omoruyi — a 6-foot-11 prospect from Nigeria — is now considering Kentucky, Arizona State, Auburn, Memphis, Miami, NC State, Rutgers and UConn. The five schools that were on his previous list but have now been cut are Louisville, Maryland, Pittsburgh, St. John’s and Temple.

Kentucky extended a scholarship offer to Omoruyi earlier this year. He attends the same New Jersey high school that produced Kahlil Whitney and Isaiah Briscoe. He is not expected to make a college decision until the spring.

Rivals.com ranks Omoruyi as the No. 55 overall prospect in the 2020 class, though national analyst Corey Evans told the Herald-Leader this week that he would personally grade him higher than that.

“I’m a little higher on Cliff than some others,” Evans said. “I went to an open gym of his in September, and his progression is night and day compared to where he was back in June/July. So, I’m on the Cliff train, for sure. I think he’s a pretty special prospect. He showed a lot of things from a skill perspective that I never saw from him. …

“Honestly, he might be No. 55 in America, but for fit and need and what he does, he’s like a top-five player for Kentucky. Just because he’s exactly what they don’t have in the 2020 class. He’s the definition of a rim-protector, rebounder — he’s 6-10, 6-11 with a 7-5 wingspan — and he’s chiseled and has a college-ready NBA body.”"
