Played like Freshmen down the stretch and Cal coaches like Cal with under 5 minutes to go. He may be the worst coach in all of college basketball the last 8 years when its a possession by possession game with under 5 minutes to play. It really started with the Elite 8 game against Notre Dame in 2015.

That is not opinion either we can go get the facts pretty easily. Im not sure what his solution will be other then have a 15 point lead with 5 to play to get a win. It’s not all on Cal because the players don’t always execute what he wants but he is the Coach so it does all fall on him.

I did not understand inserting Dillingham back in the game for Sheppard with 4 minutes to go. Dillingham can’t guard his shadow and goes for dumb steals that kill the defensive rotations. He gave up all 5 open threes to Harris tonight and those two to tie it with under 4 to go.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

What gets me is that we never run specific plays to get an open look at a 3-pointer. At the end of last night's game, I think I know why. We should've just went for a 2-pointer and started fouling. Cal is not very good at drawing up plays.

Whatever?? You could see they were doing 2 things. Stalling to make the clock run out the last 10 minutes, or taking a 3 as soon as they could. Of course they couldn't drive because of the big man Cal gave them before the season started. [Mad]

We got out scored 11-1 over the last 3 minutes of the game. I know we missed shots but Cal is natorious for playing stall ball. Reed should have been in the game at the end. I don't care who starts its's who finishes the game that matters. Edwards may be the most overhyped player that we've ever recruited. Kansas is not a better team than we are. you just can't compete with their height. our boys played their hearts out and I'm proud of them.

Reed was in the game at the end. He attempted that three late in the game, didn't he?

Yes, he took a terrible, contested, air ball shot with 5 seconds left. I don’t mean to imply that was the shot that lost the game but it was a shot no one wanted.

That's because we have no plays to get a good look at a three. We should've gone for a layup and then fouled.

I was really pleased with how we played last night in the first half and start of the 2nd. I went to sleep in the 2nd half when we were up by 11. I wasn't surprised to see that we lost by 5. I told some friends of mine today that I am sure we lost because Cal had us slow it down the last 5 minutes and we settled for forced shots with under 5 seconds on the shot clock. From some of the comments it sounds like that was the case. I have not watched the rest of the game, and if Cal did make them slow down I may get too frustrated to bother watching it. When we play fast and keep the ball moving we looked really good. I was real pleased with how they took care of the ball overall as well. If we can get a post player back, we could be really, really good. Of course, we'll still have to overcome some of the coach shortcomings, but it could be a really fun team to watch.
