He I currently averaging 16 ppg, 8rpg, and 3apg. I never u derstood Cal sitting him so much, especially after he played so well. I really thought he could be a great player for us. Totally don't blame him for leaving and glad he is playing so well. We sure could've used him this year. Of course Cal probably would have him playing a couple minutes a game.

The way Cal used him was asinine. You will never hear me defend Cal when it come’s to Hopkins. Plays a outstanding game against, LSU maybe, and barely see’s the floor the next game.
I worry Livingston could see the same fate. Surely not. [ 12-20-2022, 04:17 PM: Message edited by: handycat ]

That's what I'm worried abut too. Livingston should start the next few games. I guess we'll see tomorrow night.

Thiero is the one I worry about. He was a late addition and I think Cal just signed him to satisfy someone.

So far, Livingston doesn't appear to be one of Cal's "pets". One defensive mistake and he'll be back on the pine. And that's assuming Cal won't forget about him to begin with.
It's my belief that a huge part of Cal's problem is that he doesn't allow certain players to play through mistakes. He screams and embarassingly yanks them out of the game. I see other coaches clap and offer support for a player who makes a mistake. Cal is a buffoon.

Hopkins had 29 points and 23 rebounds tonight against a ranked Marquette team.

PC,
This was my post last year end of February:

Hopkins reward for playing so well against LSU and probably being the key to victory:
@ Arkansas - 3 minutes Ole Miss - Did not play coach's decision.
Hopkins is going to be a hell of a player for someone next year much like Johnny Juzang has been for UCLA.
I could probably even go back further into December and find a post questioning why Toppin was playing over Hopkins all last year.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.
