It appeared from watching the game on ESPN, that the upper portions of Rupp were vacant. Is there a COVID protocol in place? I know it was late Tuesday night game against MSU, but that just doesn't seem right. Thanks.

I've noticed that for about a year now. But usually it's the cupcake games.

I believe you are supposed to wear a mask inside. But you are right. Attendance is not like it used to be and Covid is probably part of it.

Price of tickets is another reason for the empty arena. Who wants to pay over $100/ticket when you can stay at home and watch it on your big screen TV!
The fact that the game wasn't over until 11:30 is another negative. It'd be 2 o'clock in the morning by the time I got home if I attended a game that tips that late!

You're right. I've attended maybe 4 or 5 games but it has been a long time. I attended BBM a couple years ago because UK gave the game day workers a couple of tickets. But I didn't enjoy it as much as watching it on TV. When you get old you don't like being in such a large crowd as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks for your responses. Guess I just can't understand why the any available seat is not taken by the students. Sad times.

With empty seats at most games it must be putting a hurt on the scalpers on the street before games.
