Polls

Duke is the only team I know of that can have a loss during the week and move up in the polls from 17 to 14, the media obviously have a love fest for the Dookies.

Un-effing believable. Actually, No it's not. Happens all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't get to play their opening game(s) of the tournament in North Carolina. The only way they won't is if the NCAA sticks to their liberal guns and disallows games to be played there because they won't let guys use the girls restroom and showers.

Norm, there is an NCAA ban on the state of North Carolina because of their Gltb laws. This is the first year Duke and UNC will have to play their first round games outside their state in many, many years. They won't have to travel far though because the NCAA only moved the Greensboro site, their normal first round home, to Greenville, SC which is still a very short distance for both those schools.

Don't forget - Dook has lost three of the last four games they've played!

They will be sent out west as a 3 or 4 seed with Gonzaga and probably Baylor so they will have a clear shot at making the ff.

Duke's season record is 23-8 and (4-6) on the road. It makes no sense to have them ranked in the top 15. Louisville is also rated better than their record shows being ranked in the top 10 in the USA and AP poll with 7 loses and 5-5 on the road.

I joked with my son that Duke would move up in the polls after losing. I thought it wouldn't really happen, but surprise; they move up 3 spots. Absolutely ridiculous. How does a team lose 3 of their last 4 games and move up. When we lost to Kansas we still moved down. This is why I hate Duke so much. It is just crazy for a team to move up after a loss. They will probably get a 2 seed when it is all said and done. If they win the ACC tourney they may very well get a one.

Dook is ranked one spot ahead of Cincinnati who I have seen play a couple of times this year. Cincy is not a bad team by any stretch - I'd hate to meet them in the tourney. Cincy is 27-4 and really gets no respect.

The way top-10 teams are dropping like flies, I think we definitely get a #2 seed if we win the SEC tournament.
