Perhaps the best explanation for what problems Kentucky coach John Calipari is facing this season came from veteran ESPN analyst Seth Greenberg, a former college coach.

During an ESPN teleconference Wednesday, Greenberg said the Southeastern Conference race now goes through Texas A&M, not UK.

“Kentucky is going to be in the conversation,” Greenberg said. “There’s no doubt about it.” However, then he clarified what has been wrong with UK, one of the nation’s top ranked teams in preseason polls.

“I don’t like their chemistry, right now, and that makes it tough. Their shooters don’t defend. Their defenders don’t really make shots,” Greenberg said.

Think about it. Shooters don’t defend — except for point guard Tyler Ulis. Defenders don’t make shots.

He said that makes it hard for Calipari to know who to play in what situations, and figuring that out is a key to changing UK’s chemistry. He said no one works harder “touching players and figuring out players” more than Calipari.

Sometimes these ESPN supposed gurus just wish to see the Cats lose. Cal will figure it out no way we are going to lose double digit games.

I think we have the talent and you can see it coming out last night. If we can continue getting better, especially Skal we "could" be a real threat come tournament time.

Three point shooting defense, at that. We have to continue to work hard to guard the perimeter!

As far as what Greenberg said, or any other media personality for that matter. The only way to prove them wrong is to do it on the floor!
Otherwise we prove them right!

That is a understatement as 50% from the 3 point line is fabulous.

I don't think Kentucky has ever had a 50% shooter in their history.

Booker was our latest good 3 point shooter and had to be a 40% plus 3 point shooter.

When you have good 3 point shooters it really helps our bigs down low as teams can't pack the inside and let the 3 point shooters get good looks.

What was Greenburg supposed to say? When the Cats turn it on at the end of the season, he can then say nice things about them. No they don't have chemistry yet. They will get there and will have to fight to win games in between that time.

Meeks record will be tough to beat. Murray is one that could come close if he stayed a year longer.
