IMO THIS IS THE TOUGHEST TEAM WE WILL HAVE PLAYED ALL YEAR.

I don't think it will be as easy as last nights game and I don't expect us to be hitting on all cylinders again either. Don't believe our shooting percentage can be 50% either. As long as we can play well for 30 minutes we should be ready to head for Indy.

They don't seem to play much defense. Their key will have to be having a high shooting percentage. I don't see them getting a lot of offensive rebounds, because they will be on their heels defensively.

UK will be the toughest team that they have faced. Their RPI SOS rank was about 95th.

I don't think we were on all cylinders against WVU. Karl got in foul trouble and hardly did anything.

I don't think the WV game took a lot out of us physically or emotionally. Look for a good game against ND.

Here is how I see it. Yes they shoot 51% from the field but they are ranked 250th in rebounding and 146th in points allowed. So they can't rebound and they don't defend very well. I honestly believe they will have to have another night where they shoot 75% from the field but for both half's against our boys.

I agree. When ND's offense starts hitting a rhythm, they can score in buckets. They are very mediocre at everything else.

The fact that we have the nation's best defense to counter the ONE thing that they are good at bodes well. They will never have played against a defense like ours. Virginia had a great defenses, but it didn't feature the length and athleticism that we will have.

They will find it difficult to score, and certainly difficult to establish any offensive rhythm. Unless we just go stone cold, we should win this game.

We are 42-19 against the Irish but haven't played them since 2012. We have won the last 11 out of the last 13 games.

The only big fear with the Irish is that they have a lot of weapons outside.... If they are on, it will be tough....

However, Notre Dame has yet to play a team that lines up 6'6" across the guard spots (Tyler is much shorter, but so much more annoying)but the key will be getting out on them and making them shoot OVER our extended guards..... and none of them have seen 6'10", 6'11" and 7'0" that can get out on the wings as well.....

Yes I know they beat duke and UNC,,,,, but neither one of those teams get after it on DEFENSE like the CATS..

I fully expect to see WCS guarding Grant and Lyles on Connaughton. I think Cal will want to use WCS length to disrupts Grant's view passing the ball. That kid is a great passer.

It will be up to Andrew and Ulis to neutralize Demetrius Jackson. As much talk as Grant and Connaughton get, I think it is Jackson who makes the Irish offense go.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

WCS is a unique and versatile player that can guard most any position and with his wing span really causes havoc to whoever he guards.

I think the spread is pretty low for this game. I would take the Cats all day long.

Irish only play 7 players. I say the Cats route them big in the 2nd half.

THE IRISH GIVES UP ALL THEIR SCORING INSIDE, THAT IS WHERE THEY ARE WEAK AT. SO OUR BIGS IF THEY WILL TAKE IT UP STRONG SHOULD BE ABLE TO SCORE INSIDE.

This game is "not" going to be easy by any means and one that if we don't come and play we could be in trouble. This is a team that has beat Michigan State, Louisville, North Carolina twice and Duke twice. They won the ACC tournament which in my view is the best basketball league in the country and have won their last 8 games against some of the best teams in the country. This is going to be the best team we have played this year and a team that has a good chance to win the tournament. If we are not playing our "best" basketball we could be in for a long night. Bottom line this team is not West Virginia by any means.

Absolutel - not WV by any means. You won't hear them trash talking. They would love to cash in on an over-confident and not ready for a real battle KY team - which I don't think they will get. They remind me of a smaller Wisconsin without a star big - efficient and don't waste many possessions. It could be an exciting game.

WF, I think this game will go down to the wire and just hope our size will give us the edge.

This will be our toughest game so far. Towns, and the rest of the team for that matter, will need to bring their A game. If we do we win by 10 or more.

When the brackets came out this was the team I worried about the most in our region. Honestly I think this will be the best opponent we face in the tournament if they are hitting their shots. We are going to have to come out and get after them on the defensive end and drive the ball. If we are hitting 40% of our shots outside of 10 foot I think we will come away with this one but if we are cold from the outside it is going to be a much different story. Honestly this team worries me much more than Wisconsin or Arizona.

Anything can happen but I myself am not concerned abut Notre Dame. If we play up to our abilities and Notre Dame play up to theirs, we win by double digits. They are a tremendous three point shooting team and much of their offense comes from that, hopefully we will be taking that part of their game away as well as possible and making them try to beat us inside by making two's.

It will really come down to how well we defend the three. ND is a great shooting team and I think they depend a lot on the three. If they are hitting it opens up lanes to drive and dish. If we can keep them to twos mostly and make them shoot contested twos we win. If they hit 10 threes or more we could be in trouble. They are also the best ball faking team on the perimeter. Got to stay on the floor on the perimeter some. But again, if we play our best we win. I think the only team that really can beat us is ourselves. Have an off game and someone else go nuts, that is how I think we could lose.

Last 10 minutes again. We win walking away with a 14 point difference. Karl makes up for his poor game against WVA. A lot of blocks by the bigs. Looking for another match with WI and this time we have Willie.

ukman is right it's coming down to 3 point shooting. ND relies heavily on their 3's. They shoot them close to 40% as a team and over 100 more 3's for the season than we do. They shoot close to a 40% clip compared to our 34% average. We will have to defend the 3 point line and would bet Cal and his coachs will make sure we do.
