She is playing great basketball and it's comforting to know she has 3 more years of elgibility.

Kentucky women’s basketball freshman Alexis Jennings was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week after leading the Wildcats to wins over Middle Tennessee and Belmont last week.

Jennings, a 6-foot-2 forward/center, averaged 10.5 points and 6.0 rebounds off the bench in helping No. 8 Kentucky improve to 10-1 on the season. She came off the bench and set career highs in points (11), rebounds (7) and blocks (2) in 18 minutes of action in the win over Middle Tennessee State. With the scored tied seven minutes into the first half, Jennings came in the game and provided a spark which helped UK mount a 15-point lead at the break. She scored all 11 of her points and grabbed six of her seven rebounds in just 10 minutes of action in the first half.

The Madison, Ala., native scored in double figures again on Sunday in the win over Belmont with 10 points, while grabbing five rebounds and a block in 14 minute. It marked her first back-to-back double-digit scoring games of the season.

Jennings also hit 100 percent from the charity stripe (8-of-8) for the week, moving to a .769 percentage for the season, second-best on the team.

Overall this season, Jennings has seen seen action in all 11 games and is averaging 4.2 points and 2.7 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game.

This is UK’s second-straight SEC honor as junior point guard Janee Thompson was named SEC Player of the Week last week.

I bet she will be getting more minutes as she only played 14 minutes last night and her line was "very" good per the above post.

She's the type of player a coach can build another team around!
Recruiting is still up there. HE keeps bringing in the AA's too!
