I just couldn't seeing him sticking around after those last two performances. He couldn't get crap out of his players in this final game. Hope he enjoys those 30 some million. But maybe UK can reduce that amount with bargaining.

I believe the football coaching position at UK is an institutional problem.
My best guess is in 4 or 5 years we will be going through the same thing. It’s always been that way. At least in my life time. [ 12-01-2025, 11:21 AM: Message edited by: handycat ]

I know we have been known for finding a coach who can have several good years and then its back to the years like the last 2. Maybe we'll luck into someone who can carry us farther than that.

I’m thinking we should make an offer to Bill Bilichick.
Offer him a modest salary and one coed for each year of his contract and he would be all ours.

A lot of people have been asking why KY was in such a hurry to hire a new coach?

As long as I can remember, I always felt like UK ran an offense that resembles a basic high school offense. It'll be interesting to see what Stein brings to UK, as he's touted as being a very good offensive coach.

Coach Stein has had offensive success wherever he's been. I just hope he can bring in some good defensive coaches.
