Yes! The only good thing about playing a game in December is there was no snow or rain. We were blessed. It wasn't as cold as it could have been because the wind wasn't blowing the pennants on top of the north stands. My hands were cold even with gloves on. My lower back and my right leg was killing me. It really is hell when you get old. I enjoyed most of the game but there were times when I thought SC was going to make it a close game. But they either coughed up the ball or ran out of downs. The referees as usual seemed to be lost at times. I'll be 80 in 3 months and right now if I had to make a decision I'd say I've worked my last football game. But by the time next August rolls around I could have a change of heart. But I'm also considering what type of team we will field next year. Time may be running out for the Stoop Wagon and I won't want to watch a team that's worse than the one we just finished going 4-6. But if this had been a regular year where we play 8 conference games and 4 non conference we could have ended up with a 8-4 record. Throw the AL and MO losses away since they were added to make 10 conference games and add 4 non conference games which we would probably win. That would give us an 8-4 record with a 4-4 conference record. ounds real good, even if it may never have happened.
