I’ll just never understand Stoops/Franklins decisions:

1. When you score a TD to go up 26-8 near the end of the 3rd quarter 99% of the coaching and all metrics tell you to go for 2 to go up 3 TD’s. Not Stoop, never even considers it, just runs the kicker out there.

2. PSU scores to make it 27-14. Probably the most important drive of the game and you keep Snell on the bench and go with Rose. Why? Especially if you watch the first carry, if that is Snell there is a good chance that is a 40 yard gain and Rose gets 4. Then instead of passing with Rose in the game you give him three straight carries.

3. 3rd and 18 - no blitz

4. Snell back in game at 27-21. 1st carry he picks up 5 yards. You would think Snell would get the ball on second, especially since they gave Rose 3 straight carries. Nope.

5. Why are you not running clock? They snap the ball with 33 seconds on the play clock on the 3rd down when it was 27-21?

6. Penn State - why not go for it on 4th down near the Endzone? I don’t understand taking the FG, even with three timeouts.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Trey I believe that it shows the lack of respect that Franklin has for Ky. Frankin made a huge mistake going for a field goal expecting his defense to be much better than our offense. Benny proved him otherwise..

We just went conservative with the big lead. As a life-long Bengals fan, I've seen that doom a team many, many times. We should've stayed aggressive with our defense.

In a way, any bowl game other than the national championship is a meaningless game. PSU should've gone for it on 4th down.

But in the end, it was too much Benny Snell for them to handle. He's one of the all-time great players at UK. As he said after the game, they are legends. Way to go, Benny!

By the same token, why would you go for it early in the game on 4th and short at your end of the field? I think the only player surprised on that play was the running back!

Anyone watch the UGA and Texas game? Kirby Smart and his coaches were clueless or just stubborn to what Texas was doing on defense. They kept dropping 8 and sometimes 9 in the box and UGA kept turning around and handing the ball of on 1st and 2nd down. It made zero sense. Heck, if they couldn’t figure that out they could have watched the halftime interview with the Texas coach and he flat out said what they were doing and said they would continue to do it in the second half. LOL.

They should have thrown the ball on every down and forced Texas out of it. I mean Frohm can throw the ball and throw it accurately.

4 receivers outside the numbers. If they don't cover the men wide, slant and go!

Agree. Especially, if you are the favorite to win the game. I should have listed that as Bullet Point #1.

I think the reason he went for it was because he thought Kentucky was going to be a easy win and like in 2013 he was going to try and run the score up.

Like I mentioned in an earlier post. Franklin had no respect for Stoops and the team. He took for granted that they would run all over us since we are Ky and he is in the Big Bad Ten....

Sorted backfired didn't it!!

I have no idea why Franklin chose to kick the FG, but I sure am glad he did. I think McSorley would have figured a way to get the first down (or even scored) on that 4th down and 6. Our defense was struggling to contain him in the 4th quarter and I was almost giddy when I saw the FG unit trot onto the filed.

I'm like you, Enterprise. All the momentum was on PSU's side. We let up after the record was broken and just held on for the win!

Four star Smore star. Josh Allen was a 2 star. He's getting ready to sit in the green room on draft night because someone missed on a talented kid who's going to make money playing on Sunday!
