Lafayette offensive lineman Landon Young earned a five-star designation Monday from Rivals.com, which released its final Top 100 rankings for the class of 2016.

Young — a 6-foot-7, 300-pound prospect — is now ranked by Rivals as the No. 29 overall senior nationally. He committed to the University of Kentucky in 2013 and will officially sign with the Wildcats next month.

Found this article right away where the writer picks out the 5 best players to play at Kentucky. It's a good list and hard to disagree with the picks.

This season in SEC Extra, the Press-Register is ranking the five best players in the history of the 12 current SEC teams. The rankings were compiled after consulting with experts at each program and are based only on the players' college careers.

Here is the list for the Kentucky Wildcats:

1. Vito "Babe" Parilli, QB (1949-51): A two-time All-American who went on to an 18-year professional career in the NFL, AFL and CFL, he led Bear Bryant's 1950 Kentucky squad to an 11-1 record and the school's first SEC football title. His 4,351 career passing yards are still sixth in UK history, a remarkable feat for a quarterback of his era, and his 31 passing TDs for New England in 1964 were a Patriots club record until Tom Brady broke it in 2007.

2. Bob Gain, OT/DT (1947-50): The two-time All-American was the first SEC player and is still the only Kentucky player to win the Outland Trophy, taking home the honor in 1950. The College Football Hall of Famer also played for Bryant before going on to a 13-year career with the Cleveland Browns.

3. Lou Michaels, DL (1955-57): Another two-time All-American and College Football Hall of Famer, Michaels' comment after a 1957 win over Tennessee would ultimately grace the T-shirts of thousands of Vol-haters for years to come: "Nothing sucks like a Big Orange." Also a kicker, he played 14 years with four different teams in the NFL, making the Pro Bowl twice.

4. Tim Couch, QB (1996-98): The triggerman of Hal Mumme's Air Raid offense, Couch's 4,275 yards in 1998 were the highest single-season total in UK history. An All-American in 1998, he set an NCAA record for completions per game that year (36.4) and still holds the UK school record for career completion percentage (67 percent). The Cleveland Browns made him the No. 1 overall pick in the 1999 NFL draft.

5. Art Still, DE (1974-77): The 1977 All-American's 20 tackles for loss that year still stand as a UK record. The second overall pick in the 1978 NFL draft, he played 12 years for the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills and was a four-time Pro Bowl selection. His 72½ pro sacks are third on the Chiefs' all-time list.

Here are the ones he left off the list that certainly deserve recognition.

Sonny Collins, RB (1972-75); Warren Bryant, OT (1973-75); Sam Ball, OT (1963-65); Derek Abney, WR/KR (2000-03); Steve Meilinger, E (1951-53).

The one that deserves to be in the top 5 is Randall Cobb. He is still playing but is a cinch to make the top five if future lists.
