This has to be a big boast to Timmons confidence and will help in the future.

Junior receiver Ryan Timmons has had what offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson calls an "up and down" camp as he tries to become a big part of the Kentucky offense this year.

"He has some good days and he has some days where he needs to do better. But overall, that kid’s had a good camp. I don’t see anything extremely negative about his camp. He just needs to be more consistent," Dawson said.

Consistency is one area that Timmons, a former Franklin County standout, said he wanted to improve on this year, especially when it came to not dropping passes.

"He needs to have more attention to detail to his route running, just like every other receiver needs to have more attention to detail to his route running," Dawson said.

"And just attention to detail overall. We’re missing some signals from the quarterback that needs to be cleared up. Everybody needs to do better. Not just him. He’s doing fine.”
