I think we will get to see him play early as he is talented to sit on the bench to long.

George Walton Academy running back Stanley Williams (5-foot-8, 189) recently took home MVP honors at the Offense-Defense bowl game in Orlando, Florida. He has been using this offseason to prepare for what is ahead of him in Lexington.

All I am doing is training this offseason and getting myself ready for what is ahead," Williams told CatsPause.com.

The running back took an official visit to Kentucky in December.

"Just being there was good for me. Just being able to build a relationship with all of those guys [was fun]. Talking with the coaches, they were talking about how they are going to use me," Williams continued, "and what I need to do when I come in to be the best in the SEC. I think we are all hungry and we know what we've got to do. We've got to come ready to work and get this program back on the road."

Williams received a lot of support from the Kentucky fan base on his visit.

"It just shows the loyalty of the fans. It's really just a great opportunity to be back up there and talking to everybody and getting to know new people and just getting to know my teammates and building a better relationship with my future coaches. I think Kentucky has the best fan base in the nation," he explained.

The Georgia native sat down with the Kentucky coaches and discussed what they expect out of him this season.

"I talked with the coaches and they said that they have really high expectations for me. They are going to expect a lot out of me. They say that I am capable of doing a lot. They said that I can be on the field," he continued. "I am going to do my job to prove that they can trust me and that I can be a help to the program and to the team. The ball is in my court. If I come in and do what I got to do--which I am--then I will be ready to play SEC football."
