Breaking news out of the University of Louisville and steakhouses all over Miami. Clint Hurtt is leaving the U of L football program, according to Jason Higdon of Scout.com.
That means the pipeline to south Florida has officially dried up for the Birds. Interesting move considering Petrino elected to keep him just a couple weeks ago. What happened?

Hurtt will be leaving to join the Chicago Bears Staff. No word yet what he will be doing for the Bears but I'm sure he is better off there than Louisville. I would think it would be something with the defensive line as that's where his experience lies.
Louisville defensive line coach Clint Hurtt is heading to the Chicago Bears, a source told ESPN's Brett McMurphy.
No announcement has been made about Hurtt joining Chicago's staff, but Louisville released a statement saying Hurtt is leaving the program for an NFL position.
Hurtt, 35, was sanctioned last fall by the NCAA for violations committed as a Miami assistant.
Louisville had suspended Hurtt for the violations with the Hurricanes and he was under a two-year show-cause penalty requiring compliance updates to the sanctioning body. He leaves after four seasons with the Cardinals and helped recruit and develop players for a defensive unit that allowed 251.5 yards per game last season and produced national sacks leader Marcus Smith (14.5).
"I truly looked forward to working with Bobby Petrino at Louisville, but I feel this is a great opportunity," Hurtt said in a statement. "(Athletic director) Tom (Jurich) is always going to be important to me and my family. He stuck with me through the toughest of times, and I will always appreciate his support for me and my family."

Jurich is the teflon don of AD's. I really thought Clint Hurt would bring down violations onto the UL program and the Bridewater would have been a casualty of dirty recruiting.
I couldn't believe it when Jurich stood by Pitino during the sex scandal, where he involved one of his assistants. Pitino came out on top, sending the woman to prison after a messy trial. And, UL got another title because Jurich was smart enough to stick by his basketball coach with no morals.
Jurich was smart to hire Petrino. He is one of the best offensive minds in football. Arkansas was stupid for firing him. I was hoping that Jurich would make a dumb move and not take Petrino back. But, Jurich made the smart move.
As lucky as Jurich has been, had Cint Hurt stayed, he probably would never have been caught again and Jurich would have made another smart move.
